Karen founded Aurrera Communications because she loves connecting executives and companies with their target audiences.
Karen is British and bilingual (French) and has nearly 20 years’ experience advising and supporting business leaders, international investors and policy makers in the UK, the US and in France.
Karen has won two UK PR awards, the PRCA’s Crisis & Issues Management Award and CorpComms Magazine’s Best City Communications award, for the pan-European campaign she led in support of international investors in the Greek banks.
Karen’s experience includes senior roles at leading communications agencies in London and New York, as well as a senior global role at HSBC where she was Head of External Communications for its investment bank. Karen started her career at the Bank of England advising on policy and operations across high value payments, crisis management and financial markets.
Karen studied European Studies and Modern Languages at the University of Manchester.
Nadja is a senior communications professional with more than 20 years of agency experience specialising in corporate, financial, crisis and marketing communications as well as media relations.
Nadja is German and trilingual (English and French) and has extensive experience in advising start-ups, family-owned business as well as multinational corporations, both listed and private, across a broad range of sectors and geographies.
Nadja’s aim is always to serve clients as a trusted partner and she has a strong record of being viewed as a key adviser throughout client organisations up to, and including, Board level, often managing complex cross-company projects.
Nadja started her career in communications as a consultant with the UN, and completed master’s degrees in International Relations at the University of Geneva and in Public Relations at the Manchester Metropolitan University.
